Counselling
I support clients by providing a space where they can explore the challenges they face without judgement. Through active listening and sensitive questioning, I help clients build an understanding of their issues and provide perspective to help them find possible solutions, or to move towards a sense of self that feels authentic and meaningful. I recognise that issues cannot always be resolved, and in such cases I believe that the therapeutic relationship between client and counsellor can be healing.
I encourage clients to trust their own wisdom and to build their self-awareness. The content of my sessions is often informed by what the client feels is most important to focus on. That might include reflecting on family and self, past events and how they impact the present moment, and/or personal resources and support networks.
I specialise in honouring, navigating, and supporting the experiences of people marginalised across the intersections of race, ethnicity, sexuality and gender. I work with adults and young people ages 16+ working with issues such as… ableism, abuse, ADHD, anxiety, Autism, beliefs and spirituality, culture, discrimination, education, family, gender identity, grief, homophobia, racism, relationship diversity, sexual identity, transphobia and work.

Who I work with
Qualifications and Experience
I studied counselling at Tyne Metropolitan College up to Level 5 and am a registered member of the British Assocation of Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have worked as a counsellor for organisations including academy trusts and charities specialising in support for neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ people, as well as running my own private practice. I am listed on Pink Therapy and Counselling Directory.
Offering two massage styles, Abhyanga and Thai Massage, I consult every client prior to a treatment to find how they prefer to be touched and what they would like to focus on, psychically or energetically. I studied massage from Ayushkama Avurydeva Institute and Regi Rompies.
Abhyanga Massage
Abhyanga is traditional Ayurvedic massage therapy, originating from India, involving the application of warm, herb-infused oil all over the body through long repetitive strokes on the limbs and circular strokes on the joints.
Thai Massage
Thai massage, also known as Thai Yoga Massage, is a traditional massage technique from Thailand that combines deep tissue pressure, muscle and joint stretching, and gentle manipulations of the body.
Yoga is a practice that orginated from South Asia at least 10,000 years ago. Taking diverse forms, including (but not limited to) the study of scripture, devotional and physical practices, Yoga is a means by which we can reckon with real life challenges on a personal and community level.
The forms of Yoga I primarily teach are Āsana, Mudra, and Prāṇāyāma. I lead sessions with a focus on accessibility. I adapt sequences with an aim for everyone to feel a sense of freedom, regardless of ability or experience. I have studied with and continue to learn from many inspirational teachers, including Kallie Schutt, Leila Sadhagee and Mihir Joglekar.
I have led classes in studios, schools, at encampments and at festivals and have also lead retreats in nature.
Please contact me if you are interested in practicing with me privately, or would like to book me for an event or retreat.
